Arthur Steiner

Arthur Steiner has gathered international management experience in a wide variety of cultures over 20 years with leading makers of branded goods (Nestlé SA, Lindt & Sprüngli AG) in Switzerland, Europe and Asia. 

As the son of a craftsman family, Arthur started his professional life as an apprentice mechanic in Richterswil near Zürich. Later, he earned a BSc. in Lucerne, proceeded with post-graduate studies in economics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and concluded an EMBA at the GSBA in Zurich. 

In 1980, he moved with his family to Malaysia to expand and modernise a food plant for Nestlé in Petaling Jaya. Three years later, he took on the position of technical manager at Nestlé’s factory for grain-, milk- and soy products in Shah Alam (also in Malaysia). 

In 1985, Arthur joined the Swiss chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli AG, where he held numerous management positions over the course of 14 years. As a member of the executive management and director of operations and human resources, he was responsible for a total of up to 850 employees. He also represented his firm as a member of the administrative board of Chocosuisse (Union of Swiss Chocolate Manufacturers) and the executive board of EAN Switzerland. 

In 1999, he was appointed director of marketing and sales of Stehlin + Hostag AG, Switzerland’s largest manufacturer of printing ink for the graphics industry. 

In 2003, Arthur founded HUMARCA GmbH, a specialized consulting firm offering professional executive search services to companies in the FMCG industry. Today, he leads the company as managing partner.
